This manual is a guide for operation of the ABC-K5Z table-top low-speed multiple-application centrifuge.

ABC-K5Z is a microprocessor controlled and low speed multiple-application centrifuge. Machine is simple, small volume, low noise, and small temperature rise. This centrifuge is widely used in Radio-immunity, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical industry etc., especially used in the separation and purification of blood goods. This product is driven by brushless motor (control by microprocessor) and has many protection functions. It’s safe and easy to use.

1.  When receive the cargo, please check carefully whether the centrifuge is damaged after transport. If any, please reject the goods and written notice to supplier. And take photos of the damaged instrument.

2.  Check the package and see if all parts are in coincide with the order. If not, contact with supplier.

3.  Remove the package, and take out the accessory parts from the centrifugal chamber.

1.  Power Supply Requirement is 3×1.5mm2 line, voltage 110V±10%, Rated Current is 15A. Use the voltmeter test the voltage , if the voltage has more than 10% different between with the rated voltage, the power is non-conforming installation requirement. If the voltage can’t meet the requirement, suggestion that is to equip with Automatic AC voltage stabilizer.

2.  The user prepare the 15A electrical plug & outlet or circuit breaker by themselves. The

3.  For ensure safety, the centrifuge should be connect to a long-range emergency switch (the emergency switch should be close to the exit or be set outside of the room where the centrifuge is installed).If there is any failure, the user can cut down the power in a safe place.

4.  Please be sure that the outlet has been connected with power line and the earth line. The three-wire to two-wire to adaptor plug is forbidden.

1.  Centrifuge should be placed in a draft location, avoid direct sunlight; interior environment is dry and clean. The floor should be smooth and stable, load bearing is no less than 50kg.

2.  No vibration source near by centrifuge.

3.  The ambient temperature of working condition is between 15 to 30℃, Relative Humidity/RH＜80%.

4.  Avoid heat source around the centrifuge.

5.  Space requirements: the dimension of centrifuge is 546x455x390(L x W x H). The total height after open door is 810mm. Assure there is at least 15cm space around every side of the centrifuge. The interval between the back of centrifuge and wall should be no less than 0.5 meter to assure the air circulation.

To ensure safety and centrifugal effects, the instrument must be placed in the firmness, shockproof and horizontal table or ground, and please be sure that the four rubber damping feet are forced equably.

Notice: Must be sure that the four rubber damping feet are forced equably, not allowed to be hung in the air.

1.  Ensure rotor chamber is clean and dry, and there is no foreign body in it.

Use the mull to wipe the rotor support and holes in the rotor, and smear them with a filmy lubricant.

Lightly put the swing rotor onto the rotor support by hand, tighten the nut.

Notice: Be careful and gentle and avoid shaking and pulling, to protect the motor.

2.  After swing rotor installation, put the 8 casings of test tube into the test tube shelf, and please ensure the weighting tolerance is less than 2g. After hang up the test tube shelf, rotate the rotor lightly, please ensure the four set of test tube shelf is unrestricted movement and nimbly.

1.  Inspect rotor, casings of test tube, the test tube shelf and tubes for cracks & flaws and corrosion prior to use. Do not use if any part damage.

2.  Remove the foreign body from chamber, install rotor bucket and ensure that the test tube shelf is nimbleness.

3.  Rotor must not be run over the rated speed.

4.  Ensure the blood bags, tubes and sample liquid are symmetrically placed in rotor and that casings of test tube and the test tube shelf loads are well balanced.

5.  It’s forbidden to run the centrifuge without rotor over the rated speed.

6.  Do not move the centrifuge during running; do not open the lid of chamber when the centrifuge is running. Do not touch the running rotor.

7.  Check whether the external power meet the requirement.

8.  Please use the handle which is attached with the centrifuge to take out the rotor, or use the tool handles (not made from metal) knock the rotor lightly, until the connection of rotor and motor support is loosened. Don’t draw out directly by hands forcedly after loose screw, for protecting the flexible support of motor.

9.  Do not put any liquid storage tank on the door of machine to avoid any liquid filter into the centrifuge and to corrode the motor and other parts.
